Selected work / 04 Enterprise software and process digitalization
Keeping a distributed retail sales operation working when in person business became difficult.
The platform connected the full sales process from first appointment to final order and moved it online when in person business became difficult, supporting both in store and remote appointments across the organization's markets. I led delivery as full stack and DevOps lead within the wider project team; keeping the operation running was a business wide effort that the software made possible.
A large international retail organization relied on fragmented spreadsheets, email and calendar workflows for a core sales process.
Appointments, customer interactions and order management were difficult to coordinate across stores, countries and languages.
I served as lead full stack developer and DevOps lead on a unified sales and customer appointment platform.
It connected the process from the initial appointment through to the final order and integrated with existing enterprise systems.
The platform supported eight stores across three countries and four languages, including both in store and remote appointments.
In store and remote appointments ran through the same flow; cobalt outlines are existing enterprise systems.
Building and leading the delivery of business critical software across a complex organization, under significant time pressure and with real operational consequences.
