Simplifying infrastructure and saving more than €10,000 a year.
A specific result of this project. The savings also came with a more consistent approach to infrastructure management and reduced operational complexity. Other environments will differ; I do not suggest every client will achieve similar savings.
A software development company was operating infrastructure and shared services across a fragmented setup.
Databases, GraphQL services and deployment configuration were harder to manage consistently than necessary, creating operational overhead and avoidable costs.
I restructured the infrastructure into a unified, containerized and Terraform managed monorepo.
Shared databases and GraphQL infrastructure were brought under a more consistent setup, improving standardization and making the environment easier to manage.
Everything defined in one repository and deployed the same way.
